Fritz FixIck is a pharmaceutical grade medication that is designed to quickly treat Ich and other common external protozoan parasites such as Chilodonella, Trichodina and Tetrahymena. Effective and efficient, the solution not only treats some forms of fungal and bacterial diseases, but in most cases, the Ich is no longer visible after only 48 hours of treatment, making it one of the fastest working aquatic medications on the market today. With fish safety being top priority, Fritz FixIck is made without the use of formaldehyde, which can cause painful and permanent damage to the sensitive gills and internal organs. The solution is much less aggressive of a treatment compared to malachite green based treatments and gets it’s distinctive purple hue from Gentian violet. This easy to use, 2-dose system contains additional antibacterial and antifungal properties help prevent secondary infections and improve the recovery time of infected fish. Directions:
Before Dosing:
Adjust the temperature inside of the aquarium to around 82-85°F. This reaised temperature helps to accelerate the life cycle of the parasites and allows for maximum exposure to Fritz FixIck. Prior to using this solution, remove all chemical filtration such as carbon or ion exchange resins and turn off any protein skimmers; you can resume use of these products after the successful completion of the treatment. Do not perform water changes during treatment if possible. If water changes are absolutely necessary, treat the replacement water with FixIck. This solution may stain some ornaments and ornaments should be removed prior to dosing if this is a concern.
Treatment:
Shake well before each dose. One complete course of treatment will take six days. If the fish are eating, feed lightly during treatment.
