Reef Phosphorus is easily dosed manually as well. Ideal phosphorus levels will vary but generally range from 0.02 - 0.05 mg/L phosphate. Reef Phosphorus contains 0.117% elemental phosphorus. Use Seachem’s Reef Nitrogen to achieve a balance of nitrogen and phosphorus levels for optimal results.

Use 1/2 cap (2.5 mL) per 160 L (40 US gallons) once a week or as needed to maintain desired phosphorus levels.
Advanced
The beginner dose raises phosphate by 0.05 mg/L. To target a specific phosphate level, increase dose according to the following formula: 0.31vn=m where v= volume of tank in liters, n=desired phosphate increase, and m= volume of product to use in ml. For example, to raise 160 liters by 0.05 mg/L phosphate you would use 0.31*160*0.05 resulting in 2.5 ml to dose. For reference: 1 US gallon=3.8 L.
